On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Sheriff’s Office Detectives were notified of an alleged assault on a female. The victim was being treated by medical personnel at the time Detectives received the notification.
Detectives responded and began an investigation of an alleged physical and sexual assault believed to have occurred in the 2900 block of Corbett Rd, Mebane, N.C. Detectives discovered that the victim had in fact been physically and sexually assaulted, and strangled. Detectives also learned from the victim, that the assaults took place in the female’s vehicle.
Detectives established probable cause to serve a search warrant at a residence in the 2900 block of Corbett Rd, Mebane, N.C. On Thursday, July 11, 2024, Detectives charged and arrested two male suspects, Luther Fitzgerald Enoch and Bradley Scott Briggs. Both were transported to the Alamance County Detention Center where they remain.
