The Collections Division is responsible for collecting approximately $105 million in annual revenue ($89 million to Alamance County, plus $16 million to other taxing jurisdictions).

There are nine persons in the Collections Division:

  • Delinquent Collector II
  • Lead Cashier
  • (2) Delinquent Collectors
  • (2) Collections Clerks
  • Foreclosure Paralegal

Our Collections team is service-oriented and dedicated to providing fast, accurate and friendly service to citizens making their tax payments. They also issue deed certifications, beer and wine licenses and mobile home moving permits. Our staff must provide a careful accounting of all money received and balances accounts daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.

We accept payment in person, by mail, online and by phone. We accept personal checks and payment by credit and debit cards (a fee applies).
